Everyone’s a winner in Interact’s global nonprofit competition
Interact Intranet announces War Child as the overall winner of their annual nonprofit competition. But in a surprise announcement also gives an intranet to each of the six runner ups.
Interact Intranet, the intelligent intranet software company, today announced War Child as the overall winner of their annual nonprofit competition. War Child is a small UK organisation providing life-changing support to the most vulnerable children whose families, communities and schools have been torn apart by war. As the overall winner of Interact’s global nonprofit competition they win a fantastic Interact Intranet software package worth £40,000/$60000, which will include consultancy, training and project management.
Nigel Danson, Interact CEO comments, “Choosing this year’s nonprofit competition winner has been our toughest yet, with each of the 7 finalists a worthy cause in their own right. The winner was chosen on a combination of unique votes, and the quality of their submission judged against the entry criteria by a panel of intranet experts. We are overwhelmed by the support the public have shown to the finalists with votes totalling in excess of 100,000 over the three weeks that the polls have been live.”
War Child Digital Manager, Dave O’Carroll, expressed his delight on being announced as the winner “Everyone here at War Child is ecstatic at being announced as the winner of Interact’s nonprofit competition and cannot wait to get started on our new intranet project. The team are all really looking forward to having an intranet that will enable us to engage better with our staff and local partners worldwide, allowing us to protect more children who find themselves caught up in the horror of war.”
The six runners up are also set to benefit with Interact pledging software packages that include a free cloud-based intranet, and consultancy for each cause, due to the excellent quality of their entries as highlighted by Danson, “It was the only decision the judging panel could agree on, as each nonprofit is such a worthy cause and had put so much effort into their entry.”
Runners up:
- Trinity Hospice
- Acumen
- Houston Zoo
- Autism Wessex
- MS Society
- Action for Blind People
Interact works with hundreds of nonprofits across the globe helping them to increase their charitable spend by implementing an intranet that helps them to improve efficiencies and enable communication and collaboration across their disparate workforce of employees and volunteers.
This competition is an annual Interact event open to nonprofits across the globe. Previous winners include The Children’s Trust, Acorn Children’s Hospice, Maggie’s Cancer Centre’s and North Devon Hospice.
Although it’s too late to vote, it’s worth having a look at the videos to see just what a difference an intranet can make to each of these well-deserving charitable organisations. https://www.interactsoftware.com/meet-interact-7
