AMS is a global workforce solutions that enables organizations to thrive in an age of constant change by building, re-shaping, and optimizing workforces. AMS is comprised of 7,000 employees, operating in countries around the world.
We knew that the novelty and excitement of the rebrand and MyAMS wouldn’t last forever, so we sprung into our action plan; MyAMS does not ‘belong’ to just Marketing, People & Culture, or Communications, it is everyone’s tool and should be representative of the diverse people and work that we do.
Challenges
The firm’s research, which included consultation with feedback forums from around the business, showed that the previous SharePoint intranet was not giving an optimal employee experience. Complaints included:
- Difficulty using the system: clumsy navigation, hard-to-edit content, limited reporting, and accessibility issues.
- Outdated design and functionality.
- Low usage, resulting in low engagement with comms, damage to culture, and risk of staff being unable to find documents.
Solutions
With a set of key principles in mind, AMS created a personal, intuitive, and relevant new Interact intranet. The redesigned, restructured MyAMS puts people at the heart of the platform through:
- Simple and intuitive menus based on user objectives.
- An apps bar that allows users to easily access third-party systems.
- A frequently updated homepage that makes MyAMS the primary communication channel for the entire organization.
Benefits
- AMS used Pulse Surveys to conduct their annual employee engagement survey – YourAMS. This received fantastic feedback from employees about how much quicker and easier it was to complete than in previous years.
- Dramatically reduced content in emails. This allows communicators to keep messages concise and link to MyAMS for further details.
- Analytics to-date show that workers within the business are taking positive steps in adopting and making a habit of using the site as a source of information.
